There are numerous reasons to perform onsite recycling. However, the predominant reason to recycle "on site" is to minimize the transportation of hazardous waste off site.

What is the best method to recycle. There are as many answers to this question as there are methods. Generally, the most accepted means of recycling are what are referred to as "stripping technologies". These types are in three general categories, Ion Exchange, Distillation and Reverse Osmosis. For on site or mobile purposes, Distillation usually too slow for mobile applications. Ion exchange may require back up canisters in the event that canisters are fouled.
